Where is the Large (65–125mm) platform typically used?
This platform is built for thick-bed floor screeds — common in commercial floors, ramps, step-downs, rebated concrete slabs, patios, rooftops, pool surrounds, and landscaping projects. It’s ideal for perimeter areas or any zone that requires extra height and a consistent, code-compliant screed to falls.
Can I use Screedex® with reinforcement wire or mesh in my floor screed?
Yes — and it’s especially recommended for thick-bed floor screeds. Pair your Screedex® platforms with the Screedex® Reinforcement Support to keep mesh or wire properly suspended above the subfloor. This improves structural strength and helps prevent sagging — especially in commercial floors or high-traffic areas.
Can I combine the Large platform with other Screedex® sizes?
Absolutely. Use Large at high points or perimeters, Medium for mid-range areas, and Small near drains or low spots. Mixing sizes helps you build a smooth, code-compliant slope-to-drain across the full floor area.
How do I know if the Large platform fits my project?
Measure your floor screed depth in multiple spots. If any area falls between 65mm and 125mm, the Large platform fits. Combine with other sizes to cover the full depth range.
